When is a business card not a business card? ...When it's a park bench.
So your business is called Park, you specialise in shaping careers and you want a unique business card that will stand out from the crowd? That's the challenge we were faced with.
Good ideas often arrive when you least expect them. This one popped up, quite literally, from the subconscious whilst enjoying a bowl of Spaghetti Bolognese with the family. After numerous frenzied prototypes involving paper scraps, scissors that had quite frankly seen better days and the help of a couple of enthusiastic young children the idea took shape.
Sourcing the right paper stock was vital for this to work. The weight had to be thick enough to give the pre-scored, die-cut card enough integrity as a flat business card whilst at the same time allowing it to be folded into its bench form. GF Smith's Colour Plan range was chosen as it provided a great texture and was available in Park's brand colour.
Working closely with our printer we were able to fine tune the engineering of the card to ensure things worked out as planned.
We find the cards bring out the inner child in people. It's great to see the initial intrigue they generate and the satisfied look that falls across the face of the recipient when they construct their first bench.
