ATW Presentation Evening Brochure

March 8th 2011 marked the second Advance To Work presentation evening celebrating the achievements of the scheme. The scheme offers in-depth work placements matched with job-specific training to 16-19 year olds not currently engaged in education, employment or training. Launched by the States of Jersey's Skills Board in response to growing concerns about youth unemployment, the initiative has achieved some fantastic results:
- 329 placements since its formation 2009
- 214 supporting businesses
- 148 trainees in employment thanks to the dedication of the ATW team and supporting employers
- The scheme received a National Careers award for working with employers and trainees in the workplace
Side-on teamed up with ATW to produce the event programme for the evening, featuring profiles of some of the success stories and giving an overview of the many commendable achievements of the trainees and the scheme. The programme was very well received as was the whole evening with almost 350 people in attendance.

It is always tremendously rewarding being able to produce work for worthy causes, but especially enjoyable when you can see the positive results that come about from such a great initiative thanks to the dedicated team at ATW. Long may the success continue.
