Jody takes on sailing challenge
This weekend (Friday 23rd September) hosts the fun of Le Tournoi's Sailing Challenge and a crew of 10 made up of some of the Earsay committee, members and our very own Jody Whittingham make their way to Cowes to meet their skippers; Charlie Williams and Julian Pearson, and their yacht: Rocket Dog, in time to start the race on Saturday morning.
The Earsay crew is split between novice and experienced sailors along with a split of hearing and hearing impaired individuals, all raring to go.
2011 will be the third Sailing Challenge with the route taking the crews from the Solent to Guernsey, around Herm and Sark and onto the final leg into Jersey on Tuesday 27th September finishing at around 7pm.

Earsay competitors, along with BSL signers, will be racing in a fully branded Earsay Beneteau 40.7s, one of the most popular and successful yachts ever built.
