She was recently awarded a pass with distinction for her fourth and final Professional Certificate in Marketing module meaning she is now officially CIM qualified.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;We&#38;&#35;39&#59;re all thrilled to bits for her, so hope you&#38;&#35;39&#59;ll join us in shouting &#38;quot&#59;congratulations&#38;quot&#59; from the rooftops.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;This is not only great news for Anthea of course, but Side-on too as it further strengthens our capability to offer strategic marketing and brand support to our clients.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;We asked Anthea how she felt about this, and she told us&#58;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;quot&#59;I&#38;&#35;39&#59;m delighted to have finished my first CIM qualification and I&#38;&#35;39&#59;m extremely proud of passing with distinction in my final module. &#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;How do you get kids excited about batteries&#63;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#60;br &#47;&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Hawksford International&#38;&#35;39&#59;s recycling scheme for schools required a way of engaging primary school pupils, and encouraging them to recycle household batteries.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#60;br &#47;&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Now batteries don&#38;&#35;39&#59;t exactly scream &#38;&#35;39&#59;fun&#38;&#35;39&#59;, so it was our challenge to inject some personality into an inanimate and, let&#38;&#35;39&#59;s be honest, pretty dull object.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#60;br &#47;&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Our creatives chiselled away at their pixels to produce a playful character that would engage the target-audience. We then developed the campaign line &#38;&#35;39&#59;Batteries Not Excluded&#38;&#35;39&#59; to further emphasise the message. A suitable balance had to be struck between communicating the key message, eye-catching imagery, but also Hawksford&#38;&#35;39&#59;s contribution to the campaign. The recycling initiative worked particularly well alongside Hawksford International&#38;&#35;39&#59;s strap line of &#38;&#35;39&#59;Thinking beyond tomorrow&#38;&#35;39&#59;.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;The campaign branding was applied to recycle tubes supplied by Transport &#38;amp&#59; Technical Services&#38;&#35;39&#59; recycling department, and were distributed across all of the island&#38;&#35;39&#59;s 22 non-fee-paying schools. When independent wealth structuring company, Hawksford International, briefed us to produce their large display ad at Jersey airport&#38;&#35;39&#59;s baggage carousels we immediately let our imaginations take flight as we debated how to make the most of this high impact opportunity.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Working with the newly established company strap-line of &#38;&#35;39&#59;Thinking beyond tomorrow&#38;&#35;39&#59; a concept was developed that would tie-in appropriately with the surroundings, incorporating a subtle link to flight, whilst retaining Hawksford&#38;&#35;39&#59;s ambitious and forward-thinking core values. Emphasis was placed on enhancing wealth for individuals focusing on the generations that follow them. The image style introduces a playful personality to the brand providing greater stand-out.&#38;nbsp&#59;Due to the scale, and nature of the audience, the copy was kept to a minimum allowing for the imagery to command attention.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Both Side-on and the client are thrilled with the result. &#60;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;We were thrilled to successfully win the competitive pitch to produce a campaign for the States of Jersey, informing young jobseekers of the support that is available for them following August exam results.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Advance to Work &#40;ATW&#41; was launched in September 2009 by the States of Jersey&#38;rsquo&#59;s Skills Board in response to growing concerns about youth unemployment. Open to 16-19 year olds not currently engaged in education, employment or training, ATW offers in-depth work placements matched with job-specific training.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Our task was to effectively raise awareness of the ATW initiative targeting primarily young school-leavers but also their parents.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Specifically ATW were looking to balance the use of traditional media channels with some more alternative methods in order to stimulate greater response from the target audience.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;We developed the campaign line of &#38;&#35;39&#59;See your potential&#38;&#35;39&#59; - the sentiment upon which all communication would be based. Visuals supported this message using generic bodies of people in various trades, but with the head removed prompting the viewer to see themselves in that position. The ATW brand identity was also developed to bind all communications, subsequently allowing for a more cost-effective and frequent advertising in the local media.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;The &#38;&#35;39&#59;traditional&#38;&#35;39&#59; side to the campaign was rolled-out with a comprehensive media plan covering the local newspaper, local radio and strategically distributed posters &#38;amp&#59; flyers.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;The campaign also incorporated both indoor and outdoor &#38;&#35;39&#59;ambient&#38;&#35;39&#59; elements.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;Mirror-graphics were placed in public washrooms at strategic locations where the target audience frequented. The mirror campaign allowed the user to view themselves in the outfit of that relevant career. A playful, interactive way of allowing the viewer to engage with the brand and stimulate a response.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;In keeping with the overall visual style of the campaign, a stencil was produced, which was then positioned on streets at varying choice locations, and subsequently power-washed, cleaning the exposed areas so as to reveal the campaign message. Due to the technique, the message was not considered illegal or defacing, and would remain for the key duration of the campaign but over time fade away. By &#38;&#35;39&#59;seeing the potential&#38;&#35;39&#59; of the cleaned area of the street, the concept was further reinforced.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;In support of all the above activity, a facebook page was set up to spread the word through social media, posting updates, images and generally gathering interest, and offering support to the target audience.&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;In the first year ATW has&#58;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;- welcomed 270 young people onto the scheme&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;- placed 231 trainees with 164 different employers for work experience&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;- celebrated 81 trainees entering paid jobs&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;- built up a facebook following of 205 users&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;One trainee commented&#58; &#38;ldquo&#59;I didn&#38;rsquo&#59;t have anything going for me at all. I didn&#38;rsquo&#59;t do well at school. Now I go to bed thinking I have really got something to wake up for. The scheme has done absolutely everything for me.&#38;rdquo&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;div&#62;&#13;&#10;&#9;ATW is the only scheme of its kind in the Channel Islands. Instead they manage to reach the heart of the target audience. I challenge any parent to not be moved as Billy Joel&#39;s &#39;She&#39;s Always a Woman&#39;, sung by Fyfe Dangerfield, accompanies the scenes of a little girl growing up right before your eyes. You really are left with a feeling of how wonderful yet fleeting life is and warm positive vibes towards the John Lewis brand. It&#39;s great to see an ad that connects with so much emotion on our screens. &#60;p&#62;Just came across this crazy gem. Probably not one for the insect cruelty activists. To promote their exhibition stand at the Franfurt Book Fair, Eichborn, the publisher of The Fly prepared, 200 flies with an ultra light banner. The banner was attached with natural wax. After a short time the banner dropped off by itself and the flies were not harmed. For a couple of hours our new studio looked like the set of a James Cameron blockbuster... well maybe not quite that extreme but there was a real on-set buzz as our latest TV campaign for Jersey Vision Correction was partly filmed here by ChannelTV.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;Why our studio&#63; Well Bren from Channel needed a makeshift optometrist&#38;nbsp&#59;and realised with some strategic cropping we could pull the illusion off using our IT bench and some epic acting skills. Well the whole process was over in a couple of takes and the actors and crew dusted off their sandwiches, packed up and retired to their winnebago.&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;&#38;nbsp&#59;&#60;&#47;p&#62;&#13;&#10;&#60;p&#62;Look out for the finished commercial coming to a screen near you very soon&#33;&#60;&#47;p&#62;

This latest effort however looks considerably more ambitious.
